During monsoon and summer season, you may find ants roaming around in your house. They can be extremely annoying and can damage your foods. Fortunately, there are easy ways to get rid of ants:
1. Chalk: The presence of calcium carbonate in chalk serves as a distraction to ants. In order to keep the ants away, all you have to do is spray some chalk powder on the entry point of the ants.
- Pepper: Pepper can also be used to keep the ants away. For better results, make a solution of pepper and water and spray it near the entrance. It won’t kill the ants but it will make sure that the ants are not able to enter.
Cinnamon: The strong smell of cinnamon will keep away the ants, Apart from that, it will also make your house smell nice. If you want, you can also add some oil to the cinnamon.
White Vinegar: White Vinegar also has a very strong smell which the ants can’t tolerate. Apart from that, the smell will also distract the ants and they will lose their way. You can also use the vinegar solution for cleaning floors and counter tops.
Borax: This one is a very toxic substance. The smell of Borax attracts the ants and when they consume it, they eventually die. However, you have be careful while using it. Since it is toxic, you have to make sure that you keep it away from your pets and kids.
Cucumber peel: Ants hate the taste of the cucumber peel and will stay away from it. Normal cucumber will be good enough; however for better results, you can use bitter cucumber.
